Linda R. Gerweck, 66, of Decatur, IL formerly of Union, NJ passed away on Sunday (Dec. 11, 2011).
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday (Dec. 15, 2011) at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 14, 2011) at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
Linda was born on June 6, 1945 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Arvel and Helena (Foreman) Colter. Linda worked at Schering-Plough Corp. in Union, NJ and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Union, NJ. She married William F. Gerweck on January 16, 1993. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2011. Linda had an unfailing love for God and unconditional love for her children.
Surviving are her children: Jason (Twila) Clark of Decatur, IL and Tiffany (Jerry) Jones of Decatur, IL; step-children: Linda (Frank) Piskowski, Ellen (Joe) Amon and Karen (Ken) Frino all of New Jersey; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
She was preceded by her parents, husband, brother: Bud Colter and sister: Bonnie Johns.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Steven J. Arnold and the St. Mary’s Hospital ICU nurses.

I went to school with Linda and always thought she was such a beautiful person. I had not seen her since graduation though. I am so sorry for your loss.
